An Award Winning Practice
The Cosmetic Dentistry Institute and Troy Center for Dental Implants has been named the Cosmetic Practice of the Year (CPOY). This prestigious award found this local practice to be superior to hundreds of top cosmetic dental practices nationwide. The CPOY board recognized the practice for its excellence in cosmetic dentistry based on their outstanding aesthetic results and clinical excellence; complete patient care and treatment; advanced technologies; commitment and leadership; superior physical environment; and excellent management of the practice.
Additionally, Dr. Craig Goldin has received multiple gold medals in several smile gallery competitions at the Scientific Session of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He has been chosen by his peers in Hour Detroit magazines "Top Dentists" selections.
The office has also been named "Best of Troy" by the Troy Chamber of Commerce.
Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth without braces. Treatment takes about the same length of time as traditional braces and is far more comfortable.
Using the latest advancements in dental technology, the Cosmetic Dentistry Institute provides patients with safer, faster and less intrusive treatment options.
Specially Modified Digital Cameras – These high quality digital cameras take intra-oral digital photographs of your teeth. This technology has greatly improved the way we examine our patients’ teeth. Using these cameras, we take pictures of your teeth and project the images onto a computer screen in the treatment room. This image is magnified, allowing us to better see and detect any decay, cracked or leaking fillings or other problems. This technology helps us to diagnose and treat problems earlier than was ever before possible.
Digital X-Rays - Digital x-rays benefit both dentist and patient. Most importantly, digital x-rays reduce your exposure to radiation up to 90 percent. With a digital x-ray, we take a picture of your teeth, then immediately see it on a computer monitor. This large, color-enhanced image lets us get a better picture of your oral health, allowing for earlier treatment. This process is also better for the environment as it doesn’t use photo chemicals and traditional film, thus eliminating waste.
CEREC® Technology – CEREC allows us to create and place a porcelain restoration in one visit. The CEREC takes a digital image of your tooth and then mills a completely custom restoration out of porcelain in just a few minutes. There’s no waiting for a lab to make a crown and no concerns about an incorrect fit.
DIAGNOdent® – The DIAGNOdent laser is used as a cavity detecting device. The advanced laser can detect decay on the chewing surface of a tooth earlier than more conventional methods, such as x-rays. In fact, it can find 50 percent of the decay that goes undetected by radiography without exposing you to radiation. This laser is truly valuable in the prevention of dental problems and the promotion of good oral health.
Computers in Each Operatory – Computers in every treatment room enable our team to have immediate access to all patient files. The file contains your health history and treatment plan, assuring consistency and quality of care.
I-CAT 3D Dental CT Scanner – Improved diagnosis, accuracy and treatment results – those are the benefits of the i-CAT. The i-CAT is a machine (like a CT Scan) that produces 3-D images that allow us to accurately diagnose and treat many dental conditions. This state-of-the-art technology produces accurate 3-D data that is especially useful in implant planning and placement. During the scan, patients are seated in an open environment, the scan takes only seconds, and patients receive significantly less radiation than a traditional medical CT scan.
Now damaged teeth can be restored in a single visit, usually in about one hour, with a durable ceramic material that matches the natural color of your other teeth.
DIAGNOdent is a small laser instrument that scans your teeth for hidden decay that can develop beneath the hard surface enamel of your teeth. Early detection of problems minimizes the expenses related to major tooth repair.
The Zoom! In-Office Whitening System is a revolutionary tooth whitening dentistry procedure, it's safe, effective and fast, very fast. In just over an hour, your teeth will be dramatically whiter.

How Old Is Your Toothbrush?
Replace your toothbrush every 3 or 4 months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed. A worn toothbrush won't do a good job of cleaning your teeth.
